The Parks Walk is now registered to full capacity, BUT please feel free to join in the journey! Or just plan to meet us at Ridgeville Park at 10am for a paw-some time! And please consider contributing to the Evanston Animal Shelters fundraiser (link below).
Trot for Tails is a tail-wagging community event presented in partnership by the Evanston Animal Shelter and the Ridgeville Park District.
Join us on Saturday, July 11, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for a morning of walking, activities, and community fun—all in support of our furry friends and to celebrate Unplug Illinois 2026!
Starting at 9:00 am, participants can begin the Parks Walk from one of three starting locations- Leider Park, Elks Park Tot Lot, or Brummel Park. Each walker will receive a special event map, or “Pawsport,” to guide them to all 10 parks throughout the Ridgeville Park District. Along the way, participants can collect swag, enjoy crafts and activities, and stop for water breaks.
At 10:00 am, the celebration continues at Ridgeville Park with a community party open to all. Enjoy sponsor booths, family-friendly activities, live music, and freshly grilled hot dogs.
Whether you complete the Parks Walk, support by fundraising for Evanston Animal Shelter, or simply join us for the festivities, Trot for Tails is a fun way to connect with neighbors and support the animals of Evanston. Come out and help us make a difference—one pawprint at a time!
Can't do the Parks Walk, but still want to help a great cause? Please share and contribute to the Evanston Animal Shelter Fundraiser!
