6:30 PM - 7:30 PM    Rhythm Evolution NFP with John Yost - Beginner Taiko (Winter 2025)
These classes teach traditional and contemporary Japanese drumming (wadaiko). Beginning Taiko class focuses on basic rhythm, taiko technique, form and traditional pieces.  Participants must supply their own taiko bachi (drum sticks) after the first class. Intermediate Taiko class focuses on refining beginning pieces and more intricate, challenging, techniques, kata and pieces. Participants must supply their own taiko bachi.  Please Note: This program is hosted by the Park District but developed and managed by our partners.

12:15 PM - 4:00 PM    Half-Day Maker's Workshops - Half-Day Maker's Workshop- February
Workshops will focus on innovative ways to reuse materials typically destined for the recycling bin, building students’ creative thinking skills. Materials, techniques, and inspiration provided. Campers should bring a lunch, snacks provided.Please Note: Oakton Elementary students have the options of being picked up and walked to camp on half-days. These programs are eligible for scholarship assistance.
