11:00 AM - 12:30 PM    Letterboxing Club - Letterboxing Club
Explore nature, socialize, create, solve clues and contribute to the fun! Letterboxing is a 175-year-old worldwide hobby that involves "hiding" boxes in nature for other hobbyists to find...and finding boxes that have been hidden by others. We use a website to coordinate hiding and searching. Letterboxers leave their "signature" with a unique (often handmade) stamp and return the box to its original hiding place. Letterboxing is family-friendly with unlimited options for exploring!Letterboxing Club meets once a month to learn about the hobby’s history and guidelines, create materials, share resources, and learn how to use the AtlasQuest clue-sharing website. Some meetings may include field trips to search for, or "hide," letterboxes. To learn about Letterboxing, check out the AtlasQuest website: www.atlasquest.com.When: Last Friday of the Month, 11am-12:30pmWhere: Kamen East Park Field House, 1111 South Blvd. Interested? Contact Club Coordinator, Claire, at ridgevilleletterboxing@gmail.com. Let’s Letterbox together! __________________________________________________________________________What is a community club?Community Clubs are special interest groups lead by members of our Ridgeville community. These clubs are supported by Ridgeville, but are not Park District programs. Is there a fee to join a club? Nope! Community Clubs are free to participants. You may be asked to provide your own supplies, or contribute funds to support the club’s needs (depending on the nature of the club), but it’s never a requirement. Who can join a club? Everyone is welcome! Who can lead a club? YOU CAN! Do you have an idea for a Community Club? Let us know! Contact nsallee@ridgeville.org

Giving African American children something to identify with.   Mission Statement & Goals Our mission is to enhance the cultural awareness of Africa among African American youth to instill a sense of heritage and pride. Ulimi is a Zulu word meaning language. We chose to name our organization Ulimi because it stands for the fact that language and culture are synonymous with the arts. African American children need an African Emersion, an African Cultural Explosion, so that their language, culture, and heritage can be restored. West African Drum Classes After School (all ages)Winter Dates: January 7 - March 4Spring Dates: March 18 - May 27 (no class April 1)Day/Time: Wednesdays, 4-5pmLocation: Kamen East Field House, 1111 South Blvd. PLEASE NOTE: ULIMI TOC classes are hosted by the Park District but developed and managed by our partners.
